Personality Traits of Students in Resilient and Struggling Schools: Different Children or Different Schools

چکیده

One of the most important facets educational inequality is globally observed wide socioeconomic gap in academic outcomes across schools and individual students. However, there are resilient that manage to be effective adverse circumstances. In order find out what may stand behind resilience disadvantaged schools, personality traits their students compared those attending perform low equally challenging contexts. Empirical data for this study was collected Leningrad Oblast 2019 includes information about schools’ status (SES) as well students’ have been traditionally associated with psychological resilience. Personality assessed using Academic Resilience Scale (ARS?30), motivation subscale, grit self-regulation scales. Factor structure questionnaires verified confirmatory factor analysis. No differences revealed between non-resilient low-SES which confirms previous findings built through managerial strategies school principals, state policies, practices improve effectiveness.
